The rubber compound in tires is affected by three factors - stiction, rolling resistance, and mileage. Improving one can negatively impact the others. Our Black Chili compound provides a solution, using advanced polymers and raw materials. We tailor the compound for specific disciplines like road or mountain biking. This is achieved with a mixture of synthetic and natural rubber, and optimized soot particles. 

Vectran™, a liquid crystal-polymer, creates a strong, multiple-thread yarn with thermoplastic properties. This partially crystalline fabric offers top cut-resistance and five times the tensile strength of steel. A Vectran™ Breaker is lighter and more flexible with superior cut protection compared to nylon breakers, without affecting rolling resistance.
