In 2006, Castelli introduced the world's first aero jersey for road racing. Although the concept was initially met with skepticism, our innovative approach soon caught on with even the most elite pro riders. Prior to this, aerodynamics were only a consideration for time trials, while performance clothing simply focused on moisture management. In fact, it was not uncommon for Tour de France winners to wear baggy, polyester jerseys with rear pockets. Despite the doubts of our aerodynamics experts, the Split Second jersey proved to be a game-changer, and we have since released seven major revisions of this groundbreaking design. Thanks to advanced CFD analysis and pro rider feedback, we have continued to improve the aerodynamic performance of the Aero Pro 7.0 W Jersey without sacrificing comfort on long rides. And for those crucial moments, our Bolero SS base layer can provide even greater aero benefits when worn underneath.
